Dr. Suzanne Palminteri is a Scientist and Program Manager in RESOLVE’s Biodiversity and Wildlife Solutions program. She is a conservation biologist with over 25 years of international conservation and research experience, including conservation land use planning, training, and wildlife research. At RESOLVE, she manages and edits content for BWS’s wildlife and forest technology website, wildtech.mongabay.com, and provides oversight to several tech development efforts for field applications. In between managing and reporting on technical and budget performance for several BWS projects, she recently led the writing of a pair of book chapters assessing impacts of forest loss on apes at both a local and a global scale.
Before joining RESOLVE, Dr. Palminteri studied the resource needs of several mammal and bird species in tropical forests of Central and South America. She has also taught computer mapping, data analysis, and conservation planning to scientists and resource managers from over 50 countries. She earned her PhD in ecology from the University of East Anglia (UK) and her master’s degree in environmental policy from Duke University.
