Voting is now open for the selection of candidates to serve as civil society observers for the Climate Investment Fund Trust Fund Committees the Clean Technology Fund, the Strategic Climate Fund, and the Pilot Program for Climate Resilience. These groups decide how funds for climate change mitigation and adaptation projects will be allocated.
To cast your vote, please visit the
RESOLVE website. We request that organizations limit themselves to one vote per organization. Please select one region (Africa, Asia/Pacific, developed countries, and Latin America) and vote only for candidates in your region. Voting will remain open between July 20th and July 31st, 2009 at 5:00 pm U.S. Eastern Time. Please cast your vote during this timeframe.
These seats are allocated to nonprofit civil society members (e.g., NGOs, civil society networks, development and environment institutions, think tanks, local communities, and indigenous peoples groups) and members of this sector are invited to vote on the observer candidates. Please note that the World Business Council on Sustainable Development is organizing a different process for the private sector observer seats.
Voting instructions will be available in the following languages: Arabic, Bengali, Chinese, Cambodian/Khmer, French, Nepali, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Tajik, and Turkish. Note: translated instructions will be posted as they are received.
To make informed choices and ensure best results, please review the
"Criteria for Civil Society Observers".
