Health and Biotechnology
Representative Projects
RESOLVE’s contributions to health policy issues have grown
steadily over the past five years. Recent work has included
analyzing the potential for dialogue on provision of HIV health
care for veterans and work with HIV/AIDS researchers on
strategic planning. RESOLVE engaged members of the tobacco
control and public health community in collaborative
discussions, and has facilitated several programs on issues
surrounding agricultural biotechnology.
For the past ten years, RESOLVE has provided facilitation and
logistical assistance to the the
Children’s Health Protection
Advisory Committee (CHPAC), which advises the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Office of Children’s
Health Protection. CHPAC ensures that EPA’s standards and
programs address children’s special needs, support scientific
research to expand our understanding of children’s
vulnerabilities to environmental health risks and exposures, and
increase public education and community outreach. Click here for
more information on CHPAC.
RESOLVE continues to build on our work on national issues
such as these and expand our role into health care access and
quality issues, genomics, food and drug safety, public health
preparedness and response, among many others. For a complete
