Land Use, Transportation, and Sustainable Communities
Representative Projects
Across the country, RESOLVE staff members have taught “Public
Involvement in Transportation Decision Making” for the National
Highway Institute. For the state of Maryland, RESOLVE’s
Washington D.C. office conducted an assessment and made
recommendations on the state’s efforts to coordinate
inter-agency implementation of a program to reduce nutrient
loading in tributaries to the Chesapeake Bay. Gridlock near the
University of Maryland is also being studied based on RESOLVE’s
assessment of how to involve the public in the planning study to
relieve the congestion. For the Washington, DC metropolitan
area, RESOLVE is also working with several agencies in
surrounding counties on the Blue Plains Intermunicipal Agreement
(IMA).
