New EPRM Call for Proposals; PPA-EPRM Funding Coordination

Aug 17, 2018

The European Partnership for Responsible Minerals (EPRM) launched a new Call for Proposals on August 14. EPRM seeks to support activities to improve conditions in and around 3TG mines and for miners in conflict-affected and high-risk areas, including the Great Lakes Regions. Grants are intended for partnerships with a minimum of two partners, at least one of which must be a company.

EPRM will accept “quick scan” proposals for review and feedback until 14:00 CEST on October 18, 2018, with final, formal proposals due on November 11. A short fact sheet with details is attached and additional information can be found on the EPRM website. EPRM has requested that the PPA share this call for proposals with any interested parties; please feel free to circulate.

RESOLVE and the EPRM secretariat have been exploring opportunities to coordinate and possibly collaborate on projects and funding. As one option, a small group of PPA members will likely to join the EPRM’s advisory committee in early 2019 to review top proposals from this EPRM funding round. RESOLVE is identifying PPA volunteers from the Projects and Resources Work Group and Governance Committee.
